About Me

I’m Artsy Chow Roamer and I help the curious discover adventures in art, food & travel by providing practical tips and inspiration in a funny unique way.

What do I know about adventures or tips?

I began my career in interior design with a little side interest in all things art. Fast forward to marriage to an architect who whisked me away to Prague forcing me to learn a difficult new language while joyfully allowing me to travel throughout Europe.

Who knew it would take so much just to learn simple tricks and hacks to make life easier abroad? Things like when to have your own toilet paper and why buying their plastic bags to carry your rum and coke in is not a good idea!

Since then I have owned a gallery, eaten my way through 37 countries (and counting) and toured more art studios and museums than you can shake a stick at.

I started a blog and have written copious numbers of reviews on the arts, foodie endeaors and all manner of travel. That got me a column in the local newspaper sharing funny stories and tips for my readers and pitching ideas with a unique perspective to area magazines.

So ya know…I kinda have a leg up on a lot of people when it comes to who to see, what to eat and where to go.

My tribe is made up of a diverse group of people but they have a few things in common; they are curious, they want honest practical tips and they like their adventures with authenticity and a little quirky thrown in!

Why? Because I find beautiful things, show you love on a plate and inspire life-changing travel. Everyone deserves a little laughter while gathering the tips that can help them make their adventure dreams come true.

Pour yourself an adult beverage and start with a few posts. If you like what you read, please subscribe to my email which gets you freebies, updates and my newsletter, The Quirky Tourist. Others like it-you will too!

Having worked as a travel TV show producer, I have enjoyed reading ArtsyChowRoamer’s blog whose wit and understanding feeds the needs of those with itchy travel feet and curious minds. She embodies three separate but entwined human experiences; the thrill of the visual arts, the joy of gourmet eating and the education of travel. The blog is original, informative and funny. It’s also why I am a contributor as a Guest Blogger.
